Eti：Yes, that’s correct! We’ve extended the course to 30km from last year’s 25km, to include some awesome new sections. The run loop now includes northern parts of the coloured dune system; a new treat for runners.

Eti：Not so much. We’ve simply taken out 10km of the desert planes – there’s still plenty of this! It should make the race more challenging with less time on flat land.

Eti：This race is extremely technical. And it’s very unusual with how many turns it has, and how much time runners spend on softer surfaces (like sand). Participants should make an effort to train on trails that are windy, that require a lot of cornering (this will simulate the red canyons). I’d also suggest devoting sometime to power hiking – as there are sections of the race that are unrunable, and extremely steep. And as the cliché goes: what goes up, must come down - there are technical descents that can be exhausting to an already fatigued runner; a focus on training on downhill running is therefore suggested.
