I've been waiting for long to participate in Taihu marathon... I've heard about it when I have visited, Suzhou, for the first time in June, to participate in the international 10k race... The moment the registration was open in August, I've signed up and booked the hotel (quite early)... I've also informed two other friends to join, we all booked in the same hotel, which was in the walking distance of the race start...

I've arrived at Suzhou on Saturday, since I've got my race pack delivered, and by-the-way, that was a very good service of Taihu marathon organizers... Even though, I've decided to go and see other runners receiving their packs on spot, specially, the place wasn't far from the hotel too... I was quite impressed to see the development in such part of the city... Nice, clean, new, and restaurants are everywhere with variety of food...

I the morning of the race day, it was freezing, and we had to put the rain coat on... I was lucky to keep my rain coat on, since the rain started to get heavy around the mid of the race, and the wind was very strong as we ran towards the lake...

Overall, the even was very well organized, and looking forward to taking more races in Suzhou :)
